Thinking of You

It's Sunday again and the challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday is "not just an ordinary card". No flat cards allowed! The sponsor of this challenge is Birdie Brown with the winner getting their choice of three digis! For this challenge I made an easel card, a style which I absolutely love but haven't done lately. I made it for my 89 years young Grandma who just had back surgery (not usually done on someone her age!). It was strange seeing her so helpless and immobile, since she is usually going, going, going! (I swear she can run circles around me), but she is doing really good considering. I made this for her to let her know that even though I don't visit as much as I'd like that I was still thinking of her and wishing her a quick recovery!

I finally got my "big" Wild Orchid Crafts order last week and had to use some of my new flowers! I also won a challenge over at the Cupcake Craft Challenge a while back and received my beautiful Prima flowers from Crafts U Love and had to use some of those, too!
I used Prima Madeline papers and the image is of course "Whispy" from Saturated Canary colored with Copics. I added some glitter glue to her wings for some added glitz! The way I did the inside allows for my Grandmother to put the card at three different angles depending on what she wants: where I have pictured it, using the pearls as a stop, or using the sentiment frame as a stop.

I really love this card style and can't wait to see what you all come up with for this "No Flat Card" challenge!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Totally Gorjuss (things with wings)
Paper Play (Butterflies & Bees or things with wings)
Papertake Weekly (Fireworks-glitter)
Creative Card Crew (fancy folds)
Whimsy Stamps (All things Sparkly)
Fussy and Fancy (Anything goes)

Trixxie Treat

Hi everyone! Another day, another card. I can't believe it! This card is for many challenges including Kenny K which is a spooky card! I have colored up "Trixxie Treat" again for this Halloween card. I am using older papers that I have added some glitter glue to the spiders to add a little something.  I have used the sketch for the Sketch and Stash challenge and added a button and twine bow for the Dutch Dare challenge!

I went for a paler look for her with E50, E51 and R20 Copics. No flowers, can you believe it?

I had a lot of fun with this one and it came together pretty easy! I hope you all like it as much as I do!

Sassy Birthday Girl

It's another challenge over at Stamptacular Sunday! It's one everyone loves: no rules! A super easy one just don't forget to stamp! For my card I used the adorable image "Sassy Sally's Big Cupcake" and My Mind's Eye's Dolled Up paper pad! I tried a fun card, I think it's called a recessed frame card. I watched a youtube video by Biata of Splitcoaststampers and it was a really simple well done tutorial. There are so many fun things you could do with this card! I made this card with my niece in mind. I already  sent it off and hope she enjoys it. She is turning 3, just one month older than my daughter, which is really neat!
I

I am on a turquoise/aqua kick, so be prepared for future posts! Isn't she a cute image! She reminded me of my niece and I tried coloring her similarly. Decorated with my favorite embellishment: Wild Orchid Craft flowers!

I hope you all find some inspiration and try out this different card if you haven't already! And don't forget to pop over to Stamptacular Sunday to see what my teamies have created and join in!

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp and Show: Favorite (paper flowers)

Autumn Bringer

Wow! I keep hearing about lost posts and now it has happened to me! Well on to the exciting stuff! Today is my debut on the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Blog DT! And this weeks theme is based on this photo inspiration:

Just use this photo as inspiration to make a card or project and don't forget to stamp! This is for the STAMPtacular Sunday challenge after all!
This is my contribution!

I used "Spring Bringer" by Sylvia Zet and colored her with Copics. I figured with Autumnal colors she could be Spring Bringer's twin- Autumn Bringer ;) I used some Liquid Pearls in her hair and as the center of many of the flowers to add some sparkle and dimension. The leaves were cut out using my Silhouette and I used distress inks to color them and curled them for extra dimension. The papers are from several years back when I thought I was going to start scrapbooking. Well, I just got around to using them! I still really like them, especially the plaid paper. It's too bad I covered it up so much :)
The sentiment is stamped with Wild Honey and distressed around the edge with vintage photo.

Here's an attempt at an artistic view photo!

That's my card! I don't know why, but I worked myself up and stressed myself out for my first card that it was so much harder to create this card than all the others! Especially since I got sneak peaks of what my teamies came up with! I had to force myself to start and just go with whatever happened. (Next Sundays card I had a lot more fun with!)
So, please stop by the Stamptacular blog and see the beautiful cards my teamies created (there are some really gorgeous ones) and join in on the challenge!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Crafty Creations- colors of fall
Totally Gorjuss- anything goes
Simon Says Stamp- Glimmer and Sparkle  (Liquid Pearls)
The Paper Shelter- distressing
Paper Play- Shine On (Liquid Pearls)
Just Keep on Creating- anything goes
Divas by Design- use some texture (leaves and Liquid Pearls)

Dreaming of Faeries

I neglected my to-do lists today and made a card for the Kenny K challenge of no squares. This was so hard for me because I really like the look of square cards, period. Rectangle, okay. Circles, scalloped circles, ovals, etc, uh-uh, nope. So, I really struggled to get my entry in, but I finally settled on this shape and now I kinda like it! The image is "Fun Faerie" colored with Copics- purples, pinks and aquas.

I used Prima Nature Garden papers which I distressed and flowers from Prima and WOC. I tore the paper at the bottom to try and get the look of the flowers coming out of where I tore it. My watermark kinda covers it :( I used glitter glue on the wings and flowers to give it some fairy-ish magic. I used my Silhouette again for the leaves and the tag. I added distress inks to the edges of the tag, an eyelet and some seam binding that I colored with spun sugar and a blue-ish color (the name escapes me). I colored the base papers with Copics as well as the leaves. I wanted a soft aqua, but it blended too much with the papers and I only have two BG Copics to choose from: a light one and BG15?. I guess my card now works for the Color Me Creative Challenge of Bright colors!!

The day is a little overcast, so I had a hard time getting a picture with which I was happy. Oh, well. A little photo shop helps!

Thanks for taking a look and if you like what you see please become a follower because I really get motivated knowing you all enjoy what I create :) And, don't forget about Sunday over at Stamptacular Sunday! Thanks again and have a great weekend!!
